A Heart Shaped Earth Review – The Saucy Monster

Arriving in front of the Brooklyn warehouse front, one would never guess what magic was unfurling on the other side of the door. Much more than just your regular concert, We Present and CHON threw one of the best parties this past Saturday; working to incorporate music, live art, and various mini workshops all into one amazing night.

The night kicked off with various workshops at the second stage, while sweet jams from Subtle Skies began to pour out of the sound system. Attendees continued to flow into the event as midnight came near and the promise of listening to Desert Dwellers and Kalya Scintilla drew closer. Various other artists such as SriKaloGY and Sloka continued to build up the crowd, building the energy higher and higher with their deep bass lines and middle-eastern flair. Even Matthew Silver was in attendance to give everyone an empowering speech about being comfortable in your own skin. The sets definitely cooked up the right atmosphere, because when midnight struck and Desert Dwellers came on, the crowd was glowing with excitement.
